Andrew Gordon
Marriage & Family Therapist in Training Supervision by Lyn Martin
Hi there, I’m Andrew!
Originally from the Midwest, I moved to NYC as an actor, experiencing both the joys and hardships of a roller-coaster industry. Alongside my journey as an actor, I spent years working with children in multiple contexts—most recently helping toddlers navigate gentle separation from their caregivers at the Children’s Museum of Manhattan. (You can imagine how adorable and pitiful this was.) These experiences opened my eyes to the healing power of story-telling, truth-telling, and play.
My growing curiosity and desire to help others brought me into the field of Marriage and Family Therapy. Over the last two years, I’ve worked with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, relationship struggles, and trauma. Through experiential therapy modalities such as AEDP, EFT, and IFS, I will help you explore how the different parts of “you” can work for or against your relationships. Together, we will practice new skills to reduce anxiety and weather life’s storms with groundedness (and even humor.) My approach is warm, playful, and direct.
Outside of therapy, you can find me playing piano, making sketch comedy, catching up with friends over coffee, or playing “chase” with my cutie cat Tommy.
Are you ready to step into a safe, exciting space to grow into your best self and strengthen your relationship?
